Altar Server Room
The care of the Altar Server Room is the responsibility of ALL servers. We ask that everyone please hang up the robes and keep the room neat. The information posted on the bulletin boards in the Altar Server Room is important to each server and should not be written on. Servers should only initial in the spaces provided acknowledging that they have served that particular Mass or have cleaned the robes on their particular assigned weekend.
Cleaning of Altar Server Robes
A cleaning schedule for the altar server robes has been distributed, is posted in the Altar Server Room, and is also posted on our Web page. It currently runs out to the end of the school year. With five Masses each weekend, plus a school Mass each week, the robes do get used. It is important that the robes are cleaned, as scheduled, and the servers properly care for them so that they look their best during Mass. Please only clean those robes which have the color you are assigned. Once cleaned, the robes should be neatly hung back in place. If someone has a conflict and cannot clean their assigned robes when scheduled, please attempt to change with another server on the schedule. If you are unable to clean the robes, please contact Austin Lee directly and other arrangements will be made. Our Web page contains additional information on the procedures for cleaning the robes, when they can be removed for cleaning, etc.
Mr. Paul Volkerson
Mr. Volkerson is beginning his last steps in becoming a Deacon. As part of his training, at certain Masses he will be assisting in the setting of the Altar. When he is serving, only one server will need to go up to assist in setting the Altar. Mr. Volkerson will actually set the Altar, you will assist him. The second server will come from our chairs to help out with the gifts and the washing of the priests hands.
